Students and Early Career Congress

EIANZ is inviting registration for its Students and Early Career Congress (SECC), a one-day event developed by EIANZ specifically for students and emerging practitioners in the environment sector. The Congress will be held the day before the EIANZ 2018 Annual Conference on Wednesday 31 October 2018.

At the Congress participants will hear about the future direction of the environment profession, gain insights into the working life of young environmental professionals, and develop professional skills through interactive workshops. It is designed to help young professionals gain an edge in an increasingly competitive workplace though providing the workplace skills and contacts you don’t necessarily get through university studies.

The day will also include a short walking tour of Balls Head on the shores of Sydney harbour at Waverton.

A ticket for the Congress includes entry to the EIANZ 2018 Conference welcome drinks that will be held on the balcony of law firm, and Conference partner, Clayton Utz.

The Congress has been developed for part-time and full-time students enrolled in environment-related degrees as well as practitioners who are new to the environment sector (<5 years experience), of all ages and specialisations.

The Congress package includes:

  • Presentations from young professionals on what they do, and their hot tips for others entering the profession
